Portraits

I enjoy meeting and working with people. Getting to know my clients allows me to go beyond simply recording a person's appearance. Creating personalized portraits that touch the viewer's soul combines conceptual vision, artistry, subtle observations of facial expressions, body language and style that make each person unique. I work with each of my clients to depict their personal stories and select from a variety of styles ranging from the photojournalistic approach to posed formal portraits to my signature soft look.

Most work is shot on location. Convenience to clients, the comfort people feel when staying in a familiar environment as well as the essential role location sometimes plays in telling a story are all important to creating a strong, convincing photograph. I travel to locations around the Portland Metro area free of charge and am available (and happy) to travel to farther destinations for an additional cost.
